My love for baking started way back as a little girl in the kitchen with my mom and nana. Baking was fun and always delicious. I always gravitated towards food and sweets. I am pretty sure sugar is in my DNA. As I got older, I would use baking as a stress outlet; the kitchen was my happy place. It was always so cool to me how you could create such delicious things with such few ingredients like flour, sugar, butter and eggs.
I never considered baking as my career path. I didn't even know it was something you could go to college for! Thanks to my mom, I enrolled at Johnson & Wales University in 2008, and spent the next 4 years there enthralled in this huge pastry world I once knew nothing about. I learned the art of French & Italian pastry, basic cake decorating, chocolate & sugar work, plating desserts, bread, and special diets. There was something for everyone! At school I absolutely hated cakes; loath them is a more accurate description. I discovered I was really good at matching flavors and really making things taste delicious. I left with my Associates degree in baking & pastry arts and my bachelors degree in food service management with a concentration in contemporary pastry. I was a budding entrepreneur ready to take the pastry world by storm.
I have since worked in catering, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets & wholesale, I started Bake. Eat. Love. as my side hustle; a way to make more income & sharpen my skills. Of course, cake were we what everyone wanted...lucky me. I have actually grown to love cakes; they are no longer my nemesis! Decorating is always a new and ever challenging task.
I have worked very hard to perfect all my recipes. My schooling has perfected my palate and I strive to always make the best tasting treats for my customers. I've been told you can taste the love in my desserts. I love to Bake, I love to Eat, and I Love what I do.
Thank you for allowing me to live my dream and I look forward to making your next event the most special one yet!
